Tips to prepare for your first consultation Immigration LAW

This is part 2 of a 3-part series about seeking legal immigration advice. This post will provide 10 tips to help you prepare for your first consultation law with an immigration lawyer. The first post outlines some things you should be aware of when researching immigration lawyers. To determine if your lawyer is the right person for you, the third section will provide a list of questions to ask.

Be prepared before you meet with potential attorneys. The following steps can be taken:

Refer to attorneys. Reach out and ask for referrals from family members, colleagues, or friends. Even if they don’t know of any immigration lawyers, they may know someone who has.
